Donations and Legacies, Wills, In Memoriam
We depend on the support of many individuals in the community who recognise the importance of the work we do by generously making a donation or deciding to leave us a legacy in their will.
Donations can be made at any time, in cash or by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Age Concern Bath & North East Somerset. You can also set up a Standing Order so that we receive a regular monthly amount without you having to remember to do anything! Please remember GIFT AID!
Gift Aid When making a donation please tell us if you are a tax payer. This means we can claim £28 from the tax man for every £100 you give us at no extra cost to you. This extra income can make a big difference to us.
Legacies are the instructions you leave in your Will as to how you wish bequests to be made. You will need to instruct your solicitor about your wishes. Please be aware that there are over 400 different Age Concerns and if you wish your legacy to be left to us in Bath and North East Somerset you must stipulate AGE CONCERN BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET.
Legacies form an important part of our funding and allow us to offer services to our older residents which we could not otherwise provide.
In Memoriam. Increasing numbers of people are choosing to ask for donations to be made to a charity of their choice instead of flowers at their funeral. You can leave instructions in your Will or executors can also make this choice when arranging a funeral.
